If you have dried Lagurus arrangements in your home and experience year-round or winter rhinitis, removing those arrangements is the most immediate and effective intervention. Replace dried grass displays with non-allergenic alternatives such as dried lavender, silk florals, or paper decorations. If you prefer to retain some dried grass for aesthetic reasons, keep arrangements in well-ventilated rooms, avoid direct seed head handling without gloves and a mask, and run a HEPA air purifier in rooms with dried grass to reduce circulating allergen particles. Growing Lagurus ovatus in a garden when you have Pooideae grass allergy increases your local pollen exposure during the June–August bloom season. Whether this is manageable depends on the severity of your sensitization and how close the planting is to windows, doors, and outdoor living areas. Mild grass allergy patients with good pharmacotherapy response may tolerate a garden Lagurus planting with appropriate seasonal medication.
