What is Amy’s Frozen Burritos: Overview

Dairy

  • Dairy: This ingredient includes milk and cheese used in the filling, which provide creaminess and flavor, but may cause reactions in individuals with lactose intolerance or milk protein allergies.

Gluten (Wheat)

  • Gluten: Found primarily in the wheat-based tortilla, gluten is a protein that can trigger issues for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.

Soy

  • Soy: Soy ingredients may be included as a protein source or flavor enhancer. Soy is a common allergen and can affect those with soy allergies.

Eggs

  • Eggs: Sometimes used in certain burrito recipes for binding or added protein, eggs can cause allergic responses in individuals sensitive to egg proteins.

Peanuts

  • Peanuts: While not always a direct ingredient, peanuts can be present through shared production facilities. They are potent allergens and require caution for sensitive individuals.

Tree Nuts

  • Tree Nuts: Like peanuts, tree nuts may be present as a risk of cross-contamination in processing. Their proteins can trigger severe allergic reactions in some consumers.

Amy’s Frozen Burritos Allergy Emergency: What to Do Fast

Initial Assessment: Call for Emergency Assistance

  • If Amy shows any signs of a severe allergic reaction—such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, rapid heartbeat, or loss of consciousness—immediately call emergency services (911 or your local emergency number) and request an ambulance.
  • Even if symptoms seem mild, a rapid worsening can occur; do not wait to see if the condition improves on its own.

Immediate Actions While Waiting for Help

  • If Amy has an epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen), help or instruct her on how to use it immediately, following the device’s guidelines.
  • Keep her calm and seated or lying down; avoid sudden movements that might worsen her condition.
  • Loosen any tight clothing and ensure she is in a position that supports her breathing.
  • Monitor her closely; if her condition deteriorates further, be prepared to begin CPR if you are trained and necessary.

Post-Emergency and Follow-Up Care

  • Even if the symptoms subside after using epinephrine, it is critical to seek further medical evaluation immediately, as biphasic reactions can occur.
  • After stabilization, follow up with an allergist to confirm the specific allergen and discuss long-term strategies for prevention and management.

FAQ

How fast does the Quickie Nasal Spray work?

Most patients feel relief within 15 minutes. We have both short-term relief ingredients as well as longer-term relief to keep you feeling better, longer. Some say it’s like turning off their allergies.

What symptoms does the Nasal Spray treat?

Sneezing runny nose, nasal congestion, post-nasal drip, sinus pressure, itchy nose. Great for outdoor allergies, indoor dust, or when pollen spikes unexpectedly.

Will it cause rebound congestion like Afrin?

No, this formula uses a microdose of oxymetazoline, balanced with anti-inflammatory and moisturizing ingredients to reduce the risk of rebound congestion. Clinical studies over the last decade show that when oxymetazoline is combined with a corticosteroid, it can be used safely over the long term without causing rebound symptoms.

What’s the difference between this and over-the-counter sprays?

Quickie Spray combines up to five prescription-strength ingredients into a single, personalized formula — targeting multiple symptoms like congestion, post-nasal drip, and inflammation. OTC sprays typically address just one symptom and lack the synergy of a customized blend.

Does it have a bad taste or drip down the throat?

Some ingredients like azelastine may cause a slight taste, but many patients find it milder than traditional OTC sprays. Proper spray technique (head forward, not tilted back) helps minimize drip.We also offer an alternative formulation with olopatadine, which has a gentler taste profile and may be preferred by taste-sensitive patients.

Can I use it with my other allergy meds?

Quickie is designed to replace most other allergy medications. But it is designed to compliment allergy immunotherapy for long-term relief. If you’re currently taking other antihistamines or nasal sprays, tell your Curex provider, so we can adjust your formula to avoid overlap or interactions.

Is this FDA-approved?

No, Quickie is a personalized compounded prescription prepared by licensed U.S. pharmacies based on your doctor’s evaluation. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as commercial products, but they are regulated under federal and state pharmacy laws.

Are there any side effects?

Possible side effects include nasal dryness, mild irritation, or occasional nosebleeds. These are typically mild and manageable. Let your Curex provider know about any bothersome or serious effects, so we can fine-tune your prescription if needed.

How long should I use it for?

Quickie is safe for daily use, especially during the first 3–6 months of allergy immunotherapy, when symptoms are still active. Your Curex provider may adjust your dose or frequency as your immune system builds tolerance.

Will it make me drowsy?

Quickie is designed to be non-sedating, so you can use it before work, school, or exercise without feeling groggy or foggy. In rare cases where drowsiness is reported, let your Curex provider know—we can easily adjust the formula to better suit your needs.

Can my child use Quickie Nasal Spray?

Yes, Quickie Spray can be prescribed for children aged 6 and up, based on your provider’s clinical evaluation.

How often should I use it?

Follow the instructions from your Curex provider. Most patients are advised to use one spray per nostril, twice daily — morning and evening — for consistent relief.
