Immediate Ambulance Call Required

 

  • If the infant shows severe allergic reaction symptoms—such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, rapid heartbeat, or loss of consciousness—call your local emergency number (911 in the US) immediately.

 

Recognize Serious Symptoms

  • Note if the infant has difficulty breathing or the skin turns pale or blue, which indicates a decrease in oxygen.
